Physical Layer Security Enhancement With Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface-Aided Networks

چکیده

Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided wireless communications have drawn significant attention recently. We study the physical layer security of downlink RIS-aided transmission framework for randomly located users in presence a multi-antenna eavesdropper. To show advantages networks, we consider two practical scenarios: Communication with and without RIS. In both cases, apply stochastic geometry theory to derive exact probability density function (PDF) cumulative distribution (CDF) received signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio. Furthermore, obtained PDF CDF are exploited evaluate important performance communication including secrecy outage probability, nonzero capacity, average rate. Monte-Carlo simulations subsequently conducted validate accuracy our analytical results. Compared traditional MIMO systems, system offers better terms security. particular, is improved significantly by increasing number reflecting elements equipped However, adopting RIS small cannot improve when path loss NLoS small.

Physical layer security in wireless networks : design and enhancement

Security and privacy have become increasingly significant concerns in wireless communication networks, due to the open nature of the wireless medium which makes the wireless transmission vulnerable to eavesdropping and inimical attacking. The emergence and development of decentralized and ad-hoc wireless networks pose great challenges to the implementation of higher-layer key distribution and m...

CDMA Physical Layer Built-in Security Enhancement

Served as one of the most widely used wireless airlink interface, CDMA has been identified as a major technique for 3G wireless communications. The current IS-95 CDMA provides a near-satisfactory security solution to voice centric wireless communications, since generally each voice conversation only lasts a very short period of time. However, the security features provided by IS-95 CDMA are far...

Physical Layer Security in Wireless Communication Networks

Physical layer (PHY) security has become an emerging area of research recently. Wireless networks use unguided medium as communication channels, so gathering wireless data transmission is easier when compared to traditional cable systems. With the rise of new security challenges, many different solutions have been offered and are being developed. However, maintaining security in wireless networ...

Physical layer security in broadcast networks

This paper reviews the information theoretic characterization of security in broadcast channels, in which a transmitter has both public and confidential messages intended for multiple receivers. All messages must be successfully received by their intended receivers, and the confidential messages must be kept as secret as possible from non-intended recipients. Various scenarios are considered in...

Artificial Interference Aided Physical Layer Security in Cache-enabled Heterogeneous Networks

Caching popular contents is a promising way to offload the mobile data traffic in wireless networks, but so far the potential advantage of caching in improving physical layer security (PLS) is rarely considered. In this paper, we contribute to the design and theoretical understanding of exploiting the caching ability of users to improve the PLS in a wireless heterogeneous network (HetNet). In s...
